Lorentz-CPT violation, radiative corrections and finite temperature

چکیده
In this work we investigate the radiatively induced Chern-Simons-like terms in four-dimensions at zero and finite temperature. We use the approach of rationalizing the fermion propagator up to the leading order in the CPT-violating coupling bμ. In this approach, we have shown that although the coefficient of Chern-Simons term can be found unambiguously in different regularization schemes at zero or finite temperature, it remains undetermined. We observe a correspondence among results obtained at finite and zero temperature.

Induced Lorentz & CPT invariance violations in QED
We consider QED in a constant axial vector background. Lorentz invariance violation(LIV) occurs through radiative corrections. A detailed study of the phenomenology of the model is carried out, clarifying important issues related to the various regularizations employed . In this context, the physical meaning of the cutoffs induced by LIV is emphasized. Finally, finite temperature radiative corr...
متن کاملVacuum photon splitting in Lorentz-violating quantum electrodynamics.
Radiative corrections arising from Lorentz violation in the fermion sector induce a nonzero amplitude for vacuum photon splitting. At one loop, the on-shell amplitude acquires both CPT-even and CPT-odd contributions forbidden in conventional electrodynamics.
متن کاملRadiatively Induced Lorentz and CPT Violation in Schwinger Constant Field Approximation
The Schwinger proper-time method is an effective calculation method, explicitly gauge invariant and nonperturbative. We make use of this method to investigate the radiatively induced Lorentz and CPT -violating effects in quantum electrodynamics when an axial vector interaction term is introduced in the fermionic sector. The induced Lorentz and CPT -violating Chern-Simons term, which is unambigu...
متن کاملThe structure of radiatively induced Lorentz and CPT violation in QED at finite temperature
We obtain the induced Lorentz-and CPT-violating term in QED at finite temperature using imaginary-time formalism and dimensional regularization. Its form resembles a Chern-Simons-like structure, but, unexpectedly, it does not depend on the temporal component of the fixed b µ constant vector that is coupled to the axial current. Nevertheless Ward identities are respected and its coefficient vani...
متن کاملConstraint from Lamb Shift and Anomalous Magnetic Moment on Radiatively Induced Lorentz and CPT Violation in Quantum Electrodynamics
We propose to adopt the precisely measured anomalous magnetic moment and Lamb shift as tests for the possible existence of the radiatively induced Lorentz and CPT violation effects in quantum electrodynamics. To this end we calculate the one-loop vacuum polarization tensor and vertex radiative correction in dimensional reduction and on-shell renormalization scheme. We then explicitly show how t...
